The countdown is on! We will have our new house early next week! I’ve been in full planning mode around here and am really looking forward to making the home our own. I’ve created a binder full of plans (it’s old school around here) to brighten up the place. Our new home is a little wooded and cozy, so I’m hoping that by removing a few walls and adding white details will bring some much-needed light. Now, along with other light and bright kitchen details, I’m on the hunt for white backsplash tile. And although I love a good subway, I found some other options that are making it hard to decide!

The geometric tile in this cute little corner makes it interesting and the white grout keeps it from feeling fussy I think. I also love that it reminds me of a quilt!

Backsplash Tile Options

This hexagon backsplash tile is part of one of my favorite kitchen before and after transformation! The simple shelving and clean countertop make the hexagons seem less busy.

Laying a rectangular pattern seems like a great way to mix up regular subway tiles (check out all the backsplash tile pattern configurations here). If we went with a herringbone pattern, I think I’d use a mosaic tile like this one, because with the mesh on the back they are easier to DIY!

I think we’re all feeling really fortunate to add our own little twist to the new house. With all the land, the boys also have big plans; a soccer goal, tree swing, and a zip line (the jury is still out on that one). I’m so excited to share our journey!
