Make a Mod Entrance with AllModern: Creating a Functional Entryway
It’s been about 9 months since we’ve moved into this house! It has been a process and so much has changed. I’ve had so much fun updating the bathroom and remodeling the kitchen, but one space that didn’t get much attention was our entryway. Sure, the doors are pretty to look at, but the space did not function well for us at all. Luckily, All Modern came to the rescue and sponsored this post to help create our functional entryway!

(Part of my design journey includes sourcing great products and sharing them with you! This commission supports my coffee and plant addiction and allows me to write more content and support our family, so thank you!)

With all spaces in our home, such as our master bedroom, I try to focus on a few key details to address both function and design. It’s kind of my secret formula! Read on to see how strategically tackled this challenge!
1. Function
Above all else, I really want this space to work for us. After living here for awhile, a few key deficits emerged. First, we needed more designated spaces for things like keys, sunglasses, and soccer gear. To address this, I chose a non-traditional console table from All Modern (similar console table here) with drawers and bottom shelf to provide the much needed storage.

2. Design Contrast
You might’ve picked up on this little design nugget of mine. I always look for ways to add contrast in colors, textures, and shapes.

I chose this mirror from All Modern with rounded edges to contrast with our squared doors and straight metal railing. Also, choosing a black frame stands out against our white walls. Plus, the mirror has a little shelf for more function – bonus!

3. Layers of Warmth
When choosing pieces for a space, I look for ways to add layers of warmth. This keeps a space, especially a neutral monochrome one, from feeling too cold or sterile. Our entryway has a nice base of warmth with hardwood floors and doors. But it needed some layers to feel more dynamic and homey.
In addition to this Kilim Rug, I think the Natural Woven Basket and adds another layer of warmth to make this space feel extra cozy!

Many thanks to All Modern for sponsoring this post and functional entryway update!
